Transformative Stories of Faith

Faith, at least the way Scripture frames it, is how we learn to see what isn’t visible yet—and somehow step toward it anyway. Hebrews 11 is full of these wild, almost unreasonable examples: people who trusted God so deeply that their choices shifted the course of history.

“Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.” (Hebrews 11:1 TPT)

Faith, when it’s real, doesn’t just sit there. It moves things. It builds arks in dry fields, walks straight into seas expecting them to part, shouts at stone walls until they collapse. Sometimes it even clings to promises that—on paper—shouldn’t have been possible at all. The roll call in Hebrews 11 is basically God saying, “See what trust can do?”

Writing Before the World Began, There Was Us became one of those faith stories for me. It wasn’t born out of gritted teeth or sheer willpower but out of trusting that if God asked me to tell this story, then He would provide the words, the chapters, the courage. There were nights I stared at the screen thinking, this is too much… I can’t carry it. But each time, faith whispered back, If He started this, He’s not going to leave it unfinished.

I’ve come to believe this book isn’t just ink on paper—it’s a kind of living record. Abraham looked toward a city designed and built by God. I, in my own stumbling way, looked toward Heaven for blueprints of love, partnership, and divine purpose. And God, in His faithful way, kept showing up.

But here’s the thing: faith isn’t just for personal wins. It spills over. It touches others. The stories in Hebrews 11 are still sparking faith thousands of years later. My prayer is that this story—our story—does the same for you. That it gives you a nudge of courage, a flicker of boldness, or simply the vision to believe that Heaven really can show up in your own life.

Faith will stretch you, no doubt about that. It’ll drag you past your comfort zones. But it never leaves you alone in the stretch—God’s presence is always there, steadying you. And maybe, just maybe, your story of trust will become the very hope someone else needs.

“The world was not worthy of them… These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us…” (Hebrews 11:38–40 NIV)

Friend, that “something better” still stands. God has it in mind for you too. Faith is how we step into it. One step, one yes at a time.

“And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬
